Ed is the Director of Training for All Around Consulting. His passion is to serve others, including his country and those in it.
Ed joined the Canadian Forces in 2006 and deployed to Afghanistan, where he served on the front-lines of the war. After leaving the military, Ed continued to fulfil his desire to serve the public by joining the Edmonton Police Service (EPS). He spent the first 7 years working the streets of Northeast Division, where he had to make critical decisions in time and resource constrained environments.
Ed spent nearly 5 years in the Training Section as part of the Tactics Training Unit team. Ed was responsible for research and development, creation, and instruction of complex tactics training programs for the EPS. Ed’s front-line experiences highlighted the importance of standard operating procedures and training systems that empower frontline staff to make safe, effective and purposeful decisions.
In 2021, Ed left the Edmonton Police Service to pursue a career with All Around Consulting, where he provides training consulting services and assists with instructing and developing leadership training programs. Through his significant frontline experiences, Ed provides a unique perspective for private industry as he understands how training can enhance front-line leaders’ abilities to execute the vision of their company while meeting the needs of their teams.
Ed’s personal philosophy is possessing an “Attitude of Gratitude.” He knows that he would not be where he is today without the gracious support of his family, friends, and colleagues. Ed knows that we are stronger together, and he works to empower others in a training capacity.
